We are pleased to announce a new client, ACIM, one of only three companies in the United States that produces in-mold labeled drinkware. ACIM are a local, family owned manufacturer started by Herb Pluemer, and currently managed by Steve and Greg Pluemer.
On August 17, 2015, ACIM went live on a new 100,300 ft.² facility located in Los Lunas New Mexico. They use state-of-the-art presses printers and robots to produce plastic cups, lids, containers, cutlery and other plastic products for a wide range of public and private sector businesses.
Their rapid expansion required a much higher volume of raw material in the form of small plastic resin pellets which they now freight in via rail to the NMT transloading facility. The pellets are then pumped from the railcar into a tanker truck and driven the final 40 miles south to the ACIM plant.
We are excited to develop a long-term business relationship with ACIM. We wish them continuing success in their new plant.
And don’t forget the next time you’re at the game and order a drink there is a good chance the cup you’re drinking from was manufactured by ACIM, with the raw materials shipped in via yours truly – New Mexico Transloading!
